Senior Session

I thought I would break up some of my sports posts with a senior session. I had this session the Friday after Christmas. As luck would have it I got a pretty bad sinus infection which caused my voice to get really rough. Instead of being quiet though I talked a lot and totally lost it on Christmas afternoon. Have you ever tried not to talk while around friend and family for the Holidays? It was impossible for me not to join in the conversations. So it was a quiet few days for me while I attempted to regain my voice by Friday. My husband got to read pieces of paper so he knew what I was trying to gesture to him. Luckily I got enough of it back to be able to communicate on Friday. I had a lot of fun during the session and my senior was great. We had to reschedule a couple times because her field hockey team did great and kept advancing in the tournament. After that our schedules did not have matching free time.

Thanks for choosing me. I hope the rest of your senior year goes great!

Oak Hills At Lakota West Basketball

These images are from the first match up between these 2 teams this season. The 2 teams have developed a rivalry over the years and you can definitely see it during the games. All 3 games were very tough and physical. A great crowd was on hand as well. I am looking forward to the rematch later this month.

I told you it was very physical game.

Lakota East At Oak Hills Basketball

Another set of games from December. I covered the JV and Varsity games only. I really like to cover all the teams that are playing on the same day but I had a portrait session that kept me from getting to the freshmen game. Even though East was over matched they played hard and with determination. Here are some images from the games.

A battle for the ball in front of the coach. I like this one with the coach watching in the background.

Varsity game.
The squeeze play.

That's playing hard.

Oak Hills At Mason Basketball

As I mentioned in my previous post I got a new camera. The game between Oak Hills and Mason freshmen guys was my third game with the camera. I am loving the fact it handles low light so much better than my other cameras. This game was held on December 6th at Mason. There was a lot of room for me to shoot from since they had one side of the court totally open. The bleachers were pushed back so I did not have to worry about getting in any ones way and it gave me all kinds of room to move around. I like being able to get different angles than the traditional ones from the baseline. There are several images below that I was able to get from the sidelines. Hope you enjoy them.

Diving on the floor for the ball.
I like this one even though I did not get the ball in the image. His expression shows determination.
This player could fly through the air.
The no look pass.

Sycamore At Oak Hills

Yes, this game was from December 1st. I said I was behind on posting but I am trying to catch up. These images are from the Freshmen, JV and Varsity girls game. Normally I can remember some of the game but this time I am having trouble remembering the game. I think it is because I was waiting for a phone call telling me my new camera was in. I did get that call which was very exciting. Images from that camera will come. I think you will be able to tell a difference. It handles the low light much better. But that is for another post. Enjoy the images from these games.

Happy New Year!

Okay, so I am a few days late with that. I hope everyone had a great Holiday. I really have no good excuse for not posting for awhile other than I took some time off. Also, there is all that year end stuff to do that comes with owning a business. See, no good excuse:)

I hope to resume posting on a somewhat regular bases soon. Thank you for being patient.
