Day 2 of the workshop was busy but exciting. I was looking forward to shooting cycling in a Velodrome. I got there last night and the riders and event organizers were so great to us. We had access to everything except the actual track. Infield, outside, waiting/warm-up area, etc...... Below are some images that were submitted for review. Oh - we are not allowed to edit any images before the review so what you see below is what is out of my camera.

Workshop - Monday
I am attending a sports photography workshop in Colorado Springs this week. After my 18.5 hour drive across part of the US I was more than ready for the workshop to begin. The first day was exciting but a bit overwhelming at first. To meet some of the great sports photographers in the country is just a wonderful experience. As part of the workshop we get press access to the Olympic Training Center which allows us to practice what we are learning. Below are just 3 of my shots from the first day. We'll see how much I can continue to post as the week goes on and the amount of sleep decreases.

Typical Ohio Weather
It was a typical day in Ohio. The morning started out pretty nice. It got nice and sunny with of course the wonderful humidity. Then the clouds and storms rolled in which caused my 30 minute commute to turn into 60 minutes. The clouds and storms cleared up and we have a beautiful night sky.

Graduation
My husband graduated from the University of Cincinnati this past weekend. I'm so proud of him. He has been working on his degree part time for 13 years. Since it was a great achievement I threw him a big celebration party which is one of the reasons I haven't had a chance to post anything new for awhile. Below is a picture of the cake I surprised him with. The picture on the cake was taken in Germany. The trip to Germany was his graduation present from me.

Beautiful Weekend
This past weekend had some incredibly great weather. I wish I could have been out taking pictures all weekend but the good weather meant yard work. I did manage to get out early one day to a few pictures of dew on my ornamental grass.
