Freshmen Baseball

On April 7th the Oak Hills freshmen baseball team took on the LaSalle team. It was one of the first nice days after the cold spell we had. There was a good crowd for both teams. I met a lot of the LaSalle fans and it was talking with them. A lot of times I do not get the chance to talk with fans before or after an event. And of course during I'm busy concentrating on the game. Both sets of fans were vocal and into the game yet were more than accomodating to me. I try my best to stay out of the fans and these fans were great in watching out for me and walking behind me whenever they could. See below for a few images from the game.

Tulips

I love working in my flower gardens whenever I get the chance. It isn't as frequently as I would like though. This weekend I was walking around and noticed my tulips were making an appearance. My tulips are always later than most others. My mom says it is because I put them too far in the ground. I believe her since she is a much better gardner than me. Here are 2 images of some of my tulips.

Volleyball

The Lakota East boys volleyball team is having a great season. I got to see them play against Oak Hills on April 12th. They play as a team and you can see the skills that have worked hard at perfecting. While photographing games I do not always get to actually watch the game. It is different seeing the game through a lens and actually getting to sit and watch. But even not actually watching the game I could see that Lakota East was the better team and were all business from the start. Below are a few images from the JV and Varsity games.

Softball

The Mason freshmen team traveled to Oak Hills to play softball on April 10th. While the temperature was not too bad there was a nice wind. I managed to stay mostly warm until the very end of the game. Hopefully the players were warmer since they got to move around more than me. Check out some of the images below.

Milford At Oak Hills Baseball

I am a little behind on posting some of the events that I have photographed. This game was played on April 9th. I was at the varsity game between Milford and Oak Hills. I do remember that it was a cold and windy day. By the end of the game I had my hat and mitten/gloves on. Even though the weather was cold the light was great. Overcast enough to keep the harsh sunlight out of the faces of the players. Check below for a few images of the game.

Volleyball

On April the 5th I photographed the Lakota West at Oak Hills boys volleyball matches. It is amazing to watch how hard they can hit the ball at times. Below are just a few images from the games.

Girls Basketball Collage

I enjoyed following the Oak Hills girls basketball team this season. Their grit and determination was amazing. Below is a collage I put together of their season. The full size is 20x24 but I resized it smaller for viewing on the web. For those of you attending the banquet next week you can check out the printed version. Clicking the image will give you a larger version to view.

Softball

On Monday when it was much warmer than it is now I photographed a JV softball game. It was perfect weather for the game. At the start there was only one cloud in the sky. It was a pretty exciting game with Oak Hills battling back from behind to beat Colerain. There were a few close plays and some nice hits. I decided to share some of my images of the pitchers below. It amazes me that they can pitch the way they do and stand there knowing that ball can come right back at them. Hope you enjoy them.

Spring?

I thought spring time was here. Temps were great and everything was budding out. Old man winter is not done with us yet. Yesterday I was cutting grass in shorts and today it is coat weather. Even saw some snow earlier tonight. To get me thinking warm thoughts I went through some of the images I have taken so far this spring. I thought I would share 2 of them. Hope they make you think of spring.
